According to the Gospel the God Son, the founder of the Christian dogma, was born in Bethlehem to Virgin Mary and the Holly Spirit 2000 years ago.

On the coin obverse there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine between the two figures of angels and the following legends:
on the gold coin: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ 50 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 1999, Au, 900, 15,55;
on the silver coin: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ 10 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 1999, Ag, 925, 31,1;
on the German silver coin: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ / 1999.

On the coin reverse within a frame of symbolic geometric figures there is the picture of the Bible legend of the birth of Jesus Christ. The Blessed Virgin with the baby in the aureole of the Bethlehem star is surrounded by the domestic animals and the three Wise Men with gifts.
