Commemorative coins of 10 and 2 Hryvnias denomination are dedicated to 28th
Olympic Games, which are to take place in Athens (Greece) in 2004.

On the coin obverse
within a square there is a depiction of an allegoric scene of the Olympic Games
opening: two female figures in tunics are holding in the hands a cup with the
Olympic flame and laurel twigs - the symbol of peace. Around the square the
small State Emblem of Ukraine is depicted (above), as well as
inscriptions: on the silver coin - ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ (above), 10 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (beneath),
2003 (left) and 31,1 (right), designation of metal and its pure weight. on
the German silver coin: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ (above), 2 ÃÐÈÂͲ (beneath), 2003 (two figures
is depicted to the left and two others - to the right), as well as on both
coins there is the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse
within a square there is a depiction of a boxer wearing a helmet. Around the
square there are the following inscriptions: ²ÃÐÈ / XXVIII Î˲ÌϲÀÄÈ (above),
OLYMPIC GAMES / XXVIII (beneath), ÀÔ²ÍÈ 2004 (left), ATHENS 2004 (right).
