The coin is dedicated to 100th
Anniversary of the National Mining Academy of Ukraine in the city of
Dnipropetrovsk, which was founded as Katerynoslav High Mining School.

On the coin obverse there is the Small State Emblem of Ukraine there is the composition similar to
the whole Series of coins which embodies the National idea of the Unified
Ukraine: next to the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the emblematic figures of
Michael the Archistrategos and crowned lion are located, which are symbols of
Kyiv and Lviv Cities. Circular inscriptions are split by baroque ornamentation:
ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ, 10 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ, 1999, the designation of precious metal - Ag 925 and its
pure weight - 31,1. framed with guelder-rose sprays. There are the following
inscriptions on the coin separated with an ornamental pattern: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ, 2
ÃÐÈÂͲ, 1999.

On the coin reverse
there is a depiction of the Academy main building's facade (architect O.Beketov,
1900) and the following inscriptions: 100 ÐÎʲ and ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÀ òÐÍÈ×À ÀÊÀÄÅ̲ß
ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ.
