The National Bank of Ukraine within its competence compiles, consolidates and disseminates data on the financial and external sector of the economy. The financial sector contains data on monetary statistics (deposit-taking corporations survey, deposits, loans, securities), financial market statistics (interest rates, government securities market etc) as well as information used for compilation of the SNA financial account. Monetary statistics is compiled according to the International Standards in compliance with "Monetary and Financial Statistics Manual"(IMF,2000) and contains data on financial and non-financial assets and liabilities of the National Bank of Ukraine and the banks established and operating in the territory of Ukraine. Methodology of the monetary statistics compilation is agreed with the requirements of the System of National Accounts (1993), Balance of Payments Manual (IMF, 1993) Government Finance statistics Manual (IMF, 2001), as well as other official editions of the International Monetary Fund and international organizations. Data are compiled and disseminated on a monthly basis. The external sector contains data on balance of payments statistics, international investment position, external debt and foreign exchange rate. Statistics of Balance of payments is compiled in compliance with "Balance of Payments Manual" (IMF, 1993) and records economic transactions that are effected between the national economy and the economy of other countries. Statistics data on gross external debt of Ukraine are compiled in accordance with the international standards stated in the official editions of the International Monetary Fund "External debt statistics. Manual for compilers and users." (IMF,2003) and Balance of Payments Manual (IMF, 1993) Article "Statistics" contains information on categories and components of data on financial and external sector of the economy of Ukraine that are disseminated by the National Bank of Ukraine in accordance with "The Special Data Dissemination Standard: Guide for Subscribers and users (SDDS)",(IMF, 2007). Data are compiled and published in compliance with the methodology of IMF, stated in the official editions of SDDS. More detailed information on SDDS IMF is available at the IMF's Dissemination Standards Bulletin Board. Article "Financial Soundness Indicators (FSIs)" contains data and metadata concerning financial soundness indicators (FSIs), prepared by the National bank of Ukraine in compliance with the IMF methodology, presented in "Financial Soundness Indicators: Compilation Guide" (IMF, 2007). Data are compiled and disseminated on the basis of 12 main and 10 recommended financial soundness indicators (FSI) of deposit-taking corporations (banks). The National Bank of Ukraine participated in the pilot project subject to the results of which the information on FSI is placed on the IMF website. |
