Commemorative coin of 10 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to an exquisite
five-domed temple in the town of Kozelets (Chernigiv region) which was built in
1752 – 1763 according to a design project of architects B.Rastrelli, A.Kvasov
and I.Hryhorovich-Barskiy. The temple is considered to be one of the best
structures of Ukrainian baroque of the middle of 18th century.

On the coin obverse
there is a depiction of the small State Emblem of Ukraine surrounded by four
figures of archangels from the cathedral murals and a four-line inscription:
2002, ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ, 10, ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ, as well as designation of metal - Ag 925, its pure
weight - 31,1 and the Mint logo of the National bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse
there is a depiction of the temple and the bell-tower on the background of a
symbolic triangle with the star of Bethlehem at the upper corner, under which
there is a madonna lily flower - a symbol of cleanness; around the triangle
there are circular inscriptions: ÑÎÁÎРвÇÄÂÀ (left), ÁÎÃÎÐÎÄÈÖ² (right),
ÊÎÇÅËÅÖÜ (beneath).
