The coin is dedicated to Sviatohirsky Assumption Monastery, a famous
architectural and historical monument (17th - 19th cc),
which in 2004 was given the Lavra status. The monastery, founded by the bottom
of hills on the right bank of the Siversky Donets river, was first mentioned
for the year 1624. The principle role in its architectural composition is
played by St.Nicolas church (17th c.), the most ancient
temple of the monastery, the main part of which is located inside a rock.

On the coin obverse there is
a depiction of the Miracle-working icon of Sviatohirska Mother of
God, on both sides of which there are two angels holding gifts: coins,
crosses, pendants, etc.; above there is a semicircular inscription: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ,
to the right: the small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the left: 2005, the coin
mintage year; beneath in semicircle :
- on the silver coin: ÄÅÑßÒÜ ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ,
as well as Ag 925, designation of metal, 31,1, its pure weight and the Mint
logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse the
ancient Sviatohirsky Assumption Monastery is depicted on the river bank,
which is located by the bottom of cretaceous hills, covered with thick forest
and above there is a semicircular inscription:
ÑÂßÒÎ-ÓÑÏÅÍÑÜÊÀ ÑÂßÒÎòÐÑÜÊÀ ËÀÂÐÀ.
