The commemorative coins are dedicated to the famous architectural and
historical monument of XII century – St. Cyril Church in Kyiv, wherein the
Grand Duke Sviatoslav, a hero of the Ancient Rus poem “The Lay of Igor’s
Campaign” was buried in 1194.

On the obverse of the both coins
there is a composition of M. Vrubel “Angels with Labara” from paintings of
St. Cyril Church, above there is the semicircular inscription --
ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (The National Bank of Ukraine), below it - the
year of coinage -- 2006, the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, underneath –
the denomination: on the silver coin -- 10 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (10 hryvnias), the kind
of metal and its fineness -- Ag 925, its weight in fineness -- 31.1; on the
coin of German silver -- 5 / ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (5 hryvnias). The both coins have the
logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

On the reverse of the both coins the
St. Cyril Church is depicted with the inscriptions: above the semicircular
one - ÊÈÐÈ˲ÂÑÜÊÀ ÖÅÐÊÂÀ Õ²² ÑÒ. (St. Cyril Church of the Õ²² century),
below - Êȯ (Kyiv).
