The coin is dedicated to The commemorative coin “Tereschenko Family” with the
face value of 10 hryvnias is dedicated to the famous Ukrainian Tereschenko
family that has its origin in Hlukhiv, a renowned city of Ukrainian
Cossackdom, and left a deep imprint on the history of Ukraine. The
Tereschenkos have always adhered to the motto of their coat of arms –
“Aspiring to the Public Benefit”, being well-known entrepreneurs and
generous patrons of the arts.

On the coin obverse there
is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and the semicircular inscription
ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above); under the
inscription there are designation of the metal and its finenness – Ag 925,
and the weight in fineness – 31.1 (on the right) as well as the logotype of
the National Bank of Ukraine Mint (on the left). In the coin center there is
placed the monogram with Mykola Tereschenko’s initials; beneath there are
the face value of the coin and the year of its issue – 10 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ/2008 (10
hryvnias/2008).

On the coin reverse
against the background of symbolical attributes embodying activities of
Tereschenko family representatives there are the portraits of such vivid
personalities from the family as Artemii, Mykola, Varvara and Fedir; to the
right there are the coat of arms of the family and the legend ÐÎÄÈÍÀ/ÒÅÐÅÙÅÍʲÂ
(family of the Tereschenkos).
