Jubilee coin of 2 Hryvnias denomination is dedicated to one of the oldest
zoological gardens of Ukraine. Mykolayiv Zoo is a member of European Association
of zoological gardens and aquariums and is one of the leading centres of
preservation and breeding of animals in captivity. In this zoo there are over
360 species available.

On the coin obverse
there is a depiction of Mauglie with a panther (the Zoo logo); to the right
there is the small State Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÀ, 2001, 2,
ÃÐÈÂͲ and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
