The coin is dedicated to a Ukrainian musical instrument made in a form of
wooden cylinder, one side of which is covered with leather with a hair
flock from a horse-tail attached to it. Its twitching makes a sound similar
to bull roar. Such bass instrument is used in folk groups to create
funny effects.
|
Upon the obverse relief surface there is a symbolic depiction of sound waves
as conventionalized floral baroque ornamentation. There are placed
conventionalized inscriptions: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of
Ukraine) (above), under which to the left - the small National Emblem of
Ukraine, 2007/ 5 ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ (2007/ 5 Hryvnia) (below) and the Mint
logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the coin reverse
there is a depiction of the musical instrument, around the coin
circumference - a baroque ornamentation and the conventionalized
inscription: ÁÓÃÀÉ (Bull)
