The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Foundation
of the Donetsk Oblast, situated in the South-East part of Ukraine.
Availability in the Oblast of fuel and energy resources as well as mineral
and raw material resources established conditions for industrial complex
development with high concentration of the heavy industry branch, scientific
and social infrastructure.

On the obverse there is the image of miner’s head torch on the left
illuminating the conventionalized outlines of industrial enterprises on the
right, and there are the legends: against the mirror background above – the
semi circumferential legend: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of
Ukraine), underneath there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, 2 ÃÐÈÂͲ
(2 hryvnias) 2007 inscription below, as well as the logotype of the National
Bank of Ukraine Mint.

On the reverse there is
the logotype of jubilee celebrations of the 75 anniversary of the foundation
of the Donetsk Oblast, there are circumferential legends – ÄÎÍÅÖÜÊÀ ÎÁËÀÑÒÜ
(Donetsk Oblast ) above, ÇÀÑÍÎÂÀÍÀ Ó 1932 ÐÎÖ² (Founded in 1932) below.
