The coin is dedicated to the centenary of birth of Mykhailo Lysenko (1906 – 1972),
a Ukrainian sculptor, People's artist of the USSR, academician, whose
works beautify many cities of Ukraine.

On the coin obverse above there is depicted the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, beneath -
there is the inscription: ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ/ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ (National Bank of
Ukraine), there are depicted instruments of the sculptor, painter,
graphic artist against the background of a conventionalized palette. Below -
the inscriptions: IJ ÃÐÈÂͲ/ 2006 (2 Hryvnia/2006) and the
logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

there are his years of life: 1906 – 1972; above there is a semicircular
inscription: ÌÈÕÀÉËÎ ËÈÑÅÍÊÎ (Mykhailo Lysenko).
